The Problem
To continue their leadership in their industry and lead the way with new innovations, Alton Steel needed a technology partner to develop an innovative customer portal that provided an invaluable customer experience as well as scalability for future growth.
The Solution
The TDK team collaborated with Alton Steel to select the best technology stack that allowed them to leverage their existing web platform while providing a solution that was user-friendly.
After selecting VB.NET, TDK gathered requirements and provided the necessary UI design, development, and project leadership to efficiently deliver the new portal. Alton Steel provided the web services to support the effort, in close coordination with TDK.
Alton Steel was able to continue to focus on running their business while TDK developed the custom software.
The Result
Since the new customer portal has launched, customer response and satisfaction has been tremendous. Based on a SBQ Bar Customer Satisfaction Survey, the Alton Steel customer portal was ranked #1 in e-commerce.
TDK provided knowledge transfer to the Alton Steel team, which allowed them to fully support and enhance the new portal themselves.
