On September 26, 2013, Google unveiled a major overhaul of its search engine. The new algorithm makes search results more relevant and useful, especially when users ask more complex questions. That has been happening a lot more in recent years, Google search executive Amit Singhal explained. Google says the revamp affects 90 percent of its search results worldwide.
