echnology connectivity is a critical component in today’s business environment. So protecting your computer network from the myriad of malicious threats circulating on the Internet is a must. Anti-virus software scans files for computer viruses, and if found, the software will remove or quarantine the virus. Anti-virus products cover the spectrum in capabilities and subsequently price points. We’ll look at products for three distinct price points on the spectrum. These prices are based on initial purchases with a one-year subscription.
AVG Anti-Virus (free for personal use; around $40 per user for business use)
AVG makes a variety of anti-virus products. Like most free anti-virus products, its Free Edition (currently version 9.0) provides the most basic level of protection by scanning files for malware and verifying the websites you visit. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition may be used only on one computer for personal use.
